Come enjoy a full Troop 55 program at nearby Galveston Island State Park, 14901 FM 3005, Galveston, TX 77554.  Activities include:

• First class trail activities (Mark Reinhardt) – activities will include lashings and possibly raft building. FCT can sign up for Coast Guard visit and complete FCT activities Saturday PM, if available. The Visit to the USCG is now full.
• Visit to Coast Guard Base on Galveston Island (Rob Rice) Saturday Morning 8:30AM-1PM where Troop 55 has been invited to visit coastal patrol boats, response boats, and a ship that maintains ocean buoys. Come visit a warship while tied up at the pier, and find out about the wide range of missions and responsibilities of our nation's smallest branch of the armed services. There is a possibility we might get to visit with the crew of a search and rescue helicopter.  Open to all scouts. First Class Trail scouts will likely have the opportunity for some advancement work on Saturday afternoon. Maximum of 41 SCOUTS (only), this is a hard limit based on seats on the bus - cost is $15
• Swimming in the Gulf of Mexico (Swim Test Documentation Required)
• Patrol Activities include:
  • Beach Service Project of filling trash bags with debris on beach
  • Beach Explorations on Saturday Morning 10-11:15AM at Beach Nature Center
  • Turtle patrol on Saturday afternoon 4-5PM at Beach Nature Center
• Senior Patrol Leadership lead activities include:
  • Skits at campfire by SPL patrol and other patrols at their option
  • Capture the flag or other organized games
