DESCRIPTION: Trail to Troop (formerly Webelos Woods) is a campout designed to introduce Webelos and AOL scouts to the many outdoor adventures of Scouting. This awesome weekend event includes learning the patrol method of camping and Scout activities. Webelos and AOL dens learn Scout skills (e.g., first aid, fire building, camping skills, orienteering, cooking, knots). The Webelos and AOL dens will rotate around Camp Strake, meet many of the district’s troops, and get an introduction to troops they may wish to join. In addition, the Webelos and AOL Scouts will have an opportunity to shoot BB guns and archery.
