DESCRIPTION: \n  \n Camp Strake  (June 9-15) – Liked Camporee and want an affordable local option?  You’ll love Strake Summer Camp!  Camp Strake fee is $475 per Scout and $190 per full-time adult (prorated for part-timers), includes troop t-shirt \n  \n  \n Scouts will be asked to pay a $200 deposit (plus cc fees during sign-up with the option to pay the entire amount at once)  Registration closes March 31, and registrations after that date will be subject to a late fee. \n  \n  \n Scouts! With new state-of the art facilities, Strake offers something for all ranks and ages, from FCT skills to high adventure and over 40 merit badges, including night classes.  T54/55 leaders will even help with MBs not offered, such as the four “Citizenships” and Communications.  Older Scouts catch up on rank advancement and knock out Eagle-required MBs with time for riding ATVs and other action-packed fun.  And OA candidates can complete their ordeal during the week.  Sure, it’s hot in July, but the abundance of trees, water activities, and shaded areas keep it cool, and the amazing staff make sure that everyone has a wonderful summer camp experience.   \n  \n  \n Adults! There are plenty of “behind the scenes” roles, but those who go to camp can enjoy many perks such as training opportunities, scoutmaster shoot, and a steak dinner—on top of the best camp food in Texas.  Volunteers can even stay part-time, splitting the shift with another adult to cover the week.
